    I’ve noticed that in the previews of your recipes, on Amazon, that you call for white sugar (I’m looking at the pillowy pancakes). I’m a newer vegan, and might be incorrect, but isn’t white sugar created with animal bone char?

      Hi Heather! Welcome and congrats on your new veganism! A lot of brands of white sugar are totally vegan. Using bone char to refine sugar isn’t very common anywhere other than the US as far as I know, but I do check the sugar I buy to make sure. The standard brand I use here in Canada is Redpath and they say on their site that the sugar is indeed vegan-friendly. So you just want to check the brand you’re purchasing. A helpful tip is that all organic sugar is always vegan-friendly! Hope that helps!

    It’s been awhile since I found a cookbook that has so many recipes that I want to try! Fuss-Free Vegan is amazing! I made the pumpkin pancakes today for myself, the plain pancakes for my son and chocolate chips added in for my daughter.. We all enjoyed them! I am excited to try more. Thanks for a great book!

    I’ve tried vegan eating and cooking several times, but get disenchanted with the recipes. Your blog, personality and recipes have me excited about veganism again! Thank you for making this way of eating delicious AND fun! I saw your recipe for the barbecue chickpea salad and then I found your blog. I’m happy!

    Can’t wait to get your book. I’ve been a vegetarian for 20+ years and recently have committed to a vegan lifestyle. I found your website via a YouTube video where your vegan mozzarella recipe was mentioned as being incredible. I’m so glad I found you! In this case, it’s a list I’ve set up specifically for those who live in Australia who would like to be notified.
