Cinnamon Dolce Coffee Syrup

Just like the Starbucks latte but even better! Homemade cinnamon dolce coffee syrup is quick and easy to make taking only 10 minutes of simmering and using just 5 simple ingredients. Make this syrup to add to your coffee (or tea) for sweet cinnamon-y bliss. This recipe also makes for a great homemade gift!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add the water, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks to a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 10 minutes without stirring. Remove from the heat then stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the syrup to cool then transfer to a sealable bottle or jar to store the syrup in. I like to put the cinnamon stick in the jar along with the syrup as the cinnamon flavor will continue to infuse in the syrup the longer it sits. It also looks pretty! The syrup can be stored at room temperate or in the fridge for up to 6 months.

Notes

Can I use ground cinnamon? I like to use cinnamon sticks so the syrup is smooth and not gritty. If you prefer to use ground cinnamon, substitute the two sticks with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. You may want to strain the cooled syrup through cheesecloth to remove any grit.
