    Vegan Mini Halloween Pizza

Vegan mini Halloween pizza, have you ever seen a cuter pizza!? ...Er...scary... I mean scarier pizza. Ghosts and stuff.  Spooky!

These little pizzas would be a great activity for kids, but I also had so much fun making them and I'm a grown-up... sometimes. Super fun and easy to make. Only 6 ingredients, 15 minutes baking time (plus however much time you want to spend decorating them).

Vegan Mini Halloween Pizzas! Just 6 ingredients, 15 minutes baking time. Perfect for a spooky dinner appetizer idea, or snack. It's a fun activity to make with kids, and they're super yummy too! #itdoesnttastelikechicken #halloween #veganrecipes

You can use any kind of toppings to create your Halloween characters. I kept it simple with just vegan mozzarella, vegan cheddar, black olives and green peppers. This time, I used Follow Your Heart vegan cheese slices, (the brand is called Earth Island in Canada) but you can use any type of vegan cheese slices you like. You could even make my homemade mozzarella recipe. The only reason I chose not to, is that my mozzarella recipe is so melty and gooey, I didn't want my designs to melt away. This is actually the first time where store-bought vegan cheese not melting was a benefit as my designs were able to stay perfectly intact! Vegan Mini Halloween Pizzas! Then just grab a few Halloween shaped cookie cutters or get creative with your knife skills and have fun making endless Halloween themed designs!

Serve your pizzas at a themed spooky dinner party for an appetizer, or enjoy them as a snack. Any way you want them, they're fun and delicious.

To make vegan mini Halloween pizzas:

Use cookie cutters and tools around the house to make Halloween shapes.

This is how I made all of my designs, but you can, of course, play around and create any kind of monster you like!

For the jack-o-lantern: use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter on a slice of vegan cheddar. Use a small piece of green bell pepper for the pumpkin stem. Cut little pieces of vegan mozzarella to make the jack-o-lantern face.

For the skull: use a skull-shaped cookie cutter on a slice of vegan mozzarella. Make the face with pieces of black olive.

For the large spider: cut a circle of vegan mozzarella or cheddar for the base (optional). Slice a black olive in half lengthwise for the body, and another olive in half crosswise for the head. Slice olive rings and then cut rings in half to make the legs.

Have fun coming up with designs and assembling them how you like.

For the eyes: use a small round cookie cutter on vegan mozzarella to make the whites of the eyes. Use a smaller circle cutter (I used a piping tip) to cut green bell pepper for the iris. Then use an even smaller circle cutter (I used the point of the piping tip) to cut black olives to make the pupils.

For the bugs: slice black olives in half lengthwise for the bodies. Cut olive rings, then slice them in half or in quarters to make the legs.

For the ghost: use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter on vegan mozzarella. Use a knife or small circle cutter (I used the point of a piping tip) on black olives to make the eyes and mouth.

For the mummy: cut strips of vegan mozzarella for the wrap. Use black olive rings for the eyes.

Then just bake them up and serve hot. Enjoy your vegan mini Halloween pizzas as a snack, or serve with salad and some French fries for a meal. For dessert, try whipping up a batch of my easy vegan caramel corn or make date caramel apples for more Halloween fun!

    Bon appetegan,

    Sam.

    Ingredients

    For the mini vegan pizzas:

    • 4 English muffins, sliced in half (gluten-free if preferred)

    • vegan cheddar slices
    • green bell pepper
    • black olives

    Instructions

    • OVEN: Preheat your oven to 425F (220C).
AIR FRYER: Preheat your air fryer to 400F (200C).
    • Spread the English muffin cut side up on a large baking tray and bake for 4 - 5 minutes without any topping on them. This will toast the bread a little so the English muffins don't get soggy.
    • Remove from the oven and spread 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce per English muffin half, and then decorate as you desire.
    • For the jack-o-lanterns: use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter on a slice of vegan cheddar. Use a small piece of green bell pepper for the pumpkin stem. Cut little pieces of vegan mozzarella to make the jack-o-lantern face.
For the skull: use a skull-shaped cookie cutter on a slice of vegan mozzarella. Make the face with pieces of black olive.

For the mummy: cut strips of vegan mozzarella for the wrap. Use black olive rings for the eyes.
    • OVEN: Bake 8 - 12 minutes until the cheese is melty and the edges of the English muffin are golden. Different varieties of vegan cheese melt more or less so results may vary. Serve hot.
AIR FRYER: Place the pizzas in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if neededs. Fry 6 - 10 minutes until the cheese is melty and the edges of the English muffin are golden. Different varieties of vegan cheese melt more or less so results may vary. Serve hot.

Looks great! Is there anything I can use instead of English muffins? Do you know if this would work with normal pizza dough, for example, if I shape it into small circles? I can't buy English muffins where I live.

You could use small pizza, or make your own mini pizzas with pizza dough, but the cooking times and temperatures would vary.

Thank you for your reply 🙂 They ended up being great with the pizza dough. I'll try to make my own English muffins next Halloween.
