This Vegan Million Dollar Dip is creamy, tangy, and loaded with all the good stuff: vegan cheddar, smoky plant-based bacon bits, toasted almonds, and fresh green onions, all swirled into a rich, scoopable dip. It's the kind of party snack people hover around until the bowl is basically licked clean. The sneaky twist? The ultra-creamy base is made with blended tofu instead of mayo or cream cheese… but no one will ever guess (and it definitely doesn't taste like tofu, pinky swear).

When you want something a little more exciting than the usual chips and dip, it's time to add this Vegan Million Dollar Dip to your repertoire. This, my friends, is a dip that is LOADED with good stuff: toasted almonds, vegan cheddar, smoky faux bacon, and green onions, all folded into a perfectly seasoned, ultra-creamy base. The secret is blended tofu in place of mayo, which gives you that rich, tangy, ranch-style vibe and deep savory flavor, without sacrificing that totally luscious, scoopable texture. It's the kind of dip that disappears fast at parties, game day spreads, and New Year's Eve snack tables alike.

Why This Vegan Million Dollar Dip Is Perfect for a Party
- Creamy comfort food vibes: This dip tastes rich and indulgent, with a silky tofu base standing in for mayo and cream cheese, no one will guess the secret ingredient, they'll just keep going back for more.
- Serves a crowd: This recipe yields about 3 cups of dip, enough for serving about 12 people.
- Loaded with flavor: Toasted almonds, smoky bacon bits, savory cheddar shreds, green onions, and all those seasonings create a flavor combination that tastes like, well, a million bucks.
- So easy to make: Whip it up in a food processor, fold in all those delicious add-ins, and you're good to go!

Ingredients for Vegan Million Dollar Dip
- Slivered almonds: Toasting them brings out the best in their flavor. They add an addictive crunchy texture to this vegan million dollar dip.
- Tofu: Use medium or firm refrigerated tofu, not silken.
- Nutritional yeast: Adds cheesy, savory depth.
- Lemon juice: For a tangy flavor reminiscent of ranch dressing.
- Olive oil: Optional, for a richer base.
- Agave or maple syrup: A touch of sweetness to balance all the savory flavors.
- Seasonings: Garlic and onion powder, along with salt and pepper. If you'd like, you can also add a sprinkle of smoked paprika for garnish.
- Vegan cheddar shreds: Adds cheesy pops throughout the dip.
- Vegan bacon bits: One of the signature ingredients in million dollar dip! Use store-bought or homemade, like my Vegan Tofu Bacon Bits.
- Green onions: Provide freshness and texture.
- Crackers, baguette, or veggies: For dipping.
How to Make Vegan Million Dollar Dip

- Toast the almonds: Toast them in a dry skillet until golden and fragrant.

- Blend the base: Add the tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, olive oil, sweetener, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a food processor. Blend until smooth.

- Mix in the good stuff: Transfer the tofu mixture to a bowl and fold in almonds, vegan cheddar, bacon bits, and green onions.

- Serve: Spoon your million dollar dip into a dish and garnish with extra toppings and smoked paprika. Serve with your favorite dippers.
Tips & Variations
- Make it ahead: This dip holds up beautifully for up to 4 days in the fridge. Add the reserved bacon bits and green onion just before serving.
- Keep a close eye on the almonds: Stir them often and as soon as they're golden, transfer them to a plate. Even if you remove the skillet from the stovetop, the residual heat can burn the almonds.
- Make it nut-free: If you have a nut allergy, you can omit the almonds and the dip will still be amazing!
Serving Suggestions
- Serve with crackers, toasted baguette slices, pretzels, or pita chips.
- Pair with crunchy veggies like celery, carrots, cucumbers, or bell peppers.
- Add to a game-day vegan snack board with nuts, olives, and other dips.

How to Store
Store this vegan million dollar dip in a covered container for up to 4 days. Don't freeze this recipe, as the texture will become grainy and the flavor won't be as vibrant.

Ingredients
- ½ cup slivered almonds, toasted (reserve some for garnish)
- 1 block (16 oz / 454 g) medium or firm tofu, drained (not silken, you want body)
- 5 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, (optional, for richness)
- 1 tablespoon agave or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup vegan cheddar cheese shreds, (plus more for garnish)
- ¼ cup vegan bacon bits, (plus more for garnish)
- 4 green onions, sliced (reserve some for garnish)
- Pinch smoked paprika, (optional for garnish)
- Crackers, toasted baguette, or veggies, for serving
Instructions
- Toast the almonds: Place almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast, stirring often, until lightly golden and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool.
- Make the creamy base: In a food processor, combine the tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, olive oil, agave, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until silky smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. (A blender works too, though it may take more effort to blend.)
- Mix it up: Transfer the tofu base to a medium bowl. Fold in the toasted almonds, vegan cheddar, bacon bits, and green onions.
- Serve: Spoon into a serving dish. Garnish with the reserved almonds, cheese bacon bits, and green onions and a sprinkle of smoked paprika, if desired. Serve with crackers, baguette, or fresh veggies.

Yummy, and so easy! Better if you wait an hour of so to serve, IMHO. My omni friend raved. Definitely a go-to for parties going forward.

Hi Moxie! I totally agree—it gets even better after it sits for a bit. So glad it was a hit with your friend!

turned out great! as you said, it really doesn't taste like tofu, but with homemade tvp bacon bits and all the tofu and nooch and almonds in the dip, it was healthy enough to eat for dinner with crudites and wheat crackers! definitely gonna come back to this one in the future.

My husband made this yesterday after I sent him the recipe. It was delicious! We ate the entire bowl in one sitting with bread and crackers. Only revision is that we left out the almonds because we don’t have any. We’re going to make it again and bring it to a New Year’s party. I might be addicted to this stuff! Thank you Sam!

Sounds super tasty! Will maken this next weekend thanks!
Sam Turnbull @ It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken says
Hi Inca! Yay!! Hope you love it when you make it 😊
Patricia says
WOW, this sounds delicious. But, I cannot have tofu. Could I use vegan cream cheese?
Sam Turnbull @ It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken says
Hi Patricia! Vegan cream cheese should work, but it will make the dip richer and tangier than the tofu version, so I’d start with a bit less lemon and salt and adjust to taste 😊
